The plot is frustrating, to say the least. A Love Story is her first novel. Oh wait it all just came back but she sure wish it hadn’t.
Goodreads s you rpbin track of books you want to read. Yeah, it was crazy and zany, but it still managed to be believable. The love interest; Ian, comes across as a jerk to start with but as the book progresses What I enjoyed about this book: Follow her on Twitter robinmellom. Designer dresses and strappy heels? Even some of the popular kids weren’t all bad. I highly recommend this book.
The love interest in this story is nice.
Ditched is a standalone. Thanks for telling us about the problem. Feb 07, Sarai rated it it was ok Lovd This was a fast, fun read that I think teens will really enjoy. One thing I enjoyed about this book is the main character Justina.
Review of “Ditched: A Love Story” by Robin Mellom – The Surveyor
It has been a long time since a leading character made me giggle and shake my head at the same time. Nobody seems to really know. This is one to read anytime you need a fun story and a good laugh. Lovers of light-hearted contemporary YA romance will definitely enjoy this. I almost DNF-ed after the first chapter The story starts out with Lovve waking up in a ditch with no memory of what happened the night before.
At another point, she stofy she wants to drag this girl Allison by her hair and push her into the pool because she was talking to Ian. Ian, who promised her the most amazing night at prom.
Poor Justina had it all to deal with; all she wanted was a few quick moments with Ian, but something always ended up getting in the way. You know those books that have maps at ztory beginning? As a character, Justina makes little sense. Each week we will be interviewing a different YA author and highlighting their upcoming release! The older ladies working at the convenience store are not typical and one of my favorite parts of the book.
And while it’s a bit cute the latter half of the storyit’s not very fun. After all it’s not that many years since I ditfhed a teenager and our main problem then was certainly not how many boys we’ve kissed. I did not love this book. Justina Griffith was never the girl who dreamed of going to prom. I enjoyed reading about Justina a This is such a cute story that left me laughing and smiling so much!
But it’s not like Justina got drunk or anything to forget what happened. However, even as her clearly perfect memory frustrated me, I loved finding out her story bit by bit. But I wish we had the chance to get to know some of the characters a lot more especially Ian. And I was very annoyed the way the story was told.
Oct 11, Katy rated it it was ok.
She was exactly what all of us girls are when we like a boy and have no idea if they like us. I loved that the story was told in flashback.
Her dress is stody, she has no money and no way to call anyone no phone, either. She’s just a girl trying to get rid of a “reputation”, basically a girl trying to find out who she is and not be known for he 3 and a half stars I really enjoyed this. I love stories about prom and this story about prom disaster was such a fun read!
Ditched: A Love Story
Ditched was a rather huge disappointment to say the least. A three-legged Chihuahua was involved. My only wish was for a bit more interaction between Ian and Justina – other than that, the book was well-written and the voice never faltered.
Dirched saw others describe this book as worthy of being a John Hughes’ movie and honestly, that is so true.
The problems encountered weren’t that much of a deal. Or a viral disease. Justina eventually befriends the clerk at the 7 eleven and starts to tell he ARC provided by netgalley dot com. Her dress is not good, her shoes are even worse. It doesn’t mean it wasn’t a cheap tactic. And then ditched her. My biggest genre weakness Once Justina gets to the and starts telling her story to the cashier, the story picks up and the narrative smooths out aa lot. Along with a demolition derby-ready Cadillac.
And I don’t know where Robin Mellom came up with it, but dog swapping is so awesome, if not a little bit cruel.
