These dragons aren’t all Good or Lawful Good, quite a few are Unaligned This is definitely a 4th Edition update on material from previous editions. Both editions of the book contain the same draconpmicon but a Wizards of the Coast logo is included in latter.

Giving dragons Draconomion Casting as bonus property, I think was a rather good idea- makes up, partially, for the absence of magic powers.
The book treats them as characters first and foremost, participants in the story, and in fact there are guidelines for using them as PCs, NPCs, forces of nature, or just the stuff of legend that dominates an area’s history. Joe rated it liked it May 24, Draconomicon was also the name of a expansion pack for the Spellfire collectible card game. The reason you’d still want the book is because of the rich details around the creatures, their tactics, etc.

Is there one of these new “catastrophe” dragons in it? One thing about the difference between these two books that I would change is that I really appreciated in the Chromatic book that they showed pictures of the dragons showing their wing spans compared to full body length a top-down view as if the dragon were flying.
Included are breakdowns of draconic behavior, how they compare with chromatic behavior useful considering the vast majority of DMs will be more familiar with running chromatic dragonsand how dragons in general relate to humaniods.
