However the title “Teach Yourself” is a misnomer: Want to Read Currently Reading Read. I just find it impossible to stay with Egenes all the way. CONS 1 – There really are no cons to this book.
The author even suggests you could begin reading some easy original Sanskrit literature after Chapter 8. If you get that far, you are ready for pretty much anything.

Thus, this is not really an introductory book in Sanskrit, although it may be very helpful to the intermediate student. I also found that Coulson addressed the cases of address rather haphazardly, doing half a job in the appendices rather than spending sufficient time on them in tbe main body of text; this might be because he assumes knowledge of other Indo-European languages, specifically of Latin. Hardly concise and presupposes knowledge of linguistic terms beyond what textbooks often require a student to know.
I also prefer that paradigms be written out in their entirety for all conjugations and declensions regardless of overlap if an index is to be useful; Coulson’s is far too abbreviated and omits a number of forms altogether. For that reason alone you should get the Coulson!

Emotional Sensitivity and Intensity Imi Lo. Book was in good shape and seems helpful, although it’s always a bit of a go when learning a language reserved for sacred teachings and not daily use.
