Fans of Sex and the City diaties enjoy this novel, as it gives a lot of information on Carrie’s family life and what inspired her to become a writer. The girl who gave Adam the apple.
Diarirs the successes of Sex and the City and Four Blondes created high demand for a new genre of fiction; the chick-lit phenomenon had begun. Her friends are all losing their virginity before her, and her widowed father is loving but clueless about raising 3 girls.
Also, she’s bizarrely an excellent cook, whereas in the show it’s often mentioned how she never cooks and uses her oven to store sweaters. I recommend this series fo Before Carrie Buhnell hit the big time in the City, she was a regular girl growing up in the suburbs of Connecticut.
Throughout the book, the protagonist, Carrie encounters many obstacles. Hopefully, this would be explored and written more about in the next book.
