Bicubic downsampling and quality
I think the pics will be close to the same or the shot that started out smaller will be slightly sharper due to slight blurring that happens to the larger pic in the downsampling algorithm. Whether the Downsample rule kicks in or not depends on the placed image’s Effective Resolution and not its Actual resolution.
The convolution defines a general principle for the interpolation. If a file is opened with a permissions password, the security restrictions are temporarily disabled. This may be the reason why down sampling from a higher resolution native mode produces better looking edges than the lower resolution native image.
Specify a password that is required to change the permissions settings. If we had used a crude nearest neighbor averaging method on the by perfect image, then we would get a result like the perfect by image from the by CCD.
